ACCRA: WORLD WAR II VETERAN ASHITEY HAMMOND’S 100-YEAR CELEBRATION CUP

Fans, well-wishers and family of World War II veteran Ashitey Hammond gathered at the El-Wak to celebrate the legend with a 100-year celebration cup.

On the day, the game began with both sides making early attempts at goal. However, it was the Ghana Armed Forces, in green jerseys, who opened the scoring. Despite several efforts from team Nii Ashitey Hammond Eleven, they were unable to find an equalizer.

The Armed Forces doubled their lead before sealing the victory with a third goal, securing a commanding three goals to zero win. Players from both sides were decorated with medals for their efforts.

For emerging the winners, Ghana Armed Forces team were decorated with the trophy at stake. Some of the players appreciated living to see the day and participate in the 100-year celebration cup.
