A: JAPAN DONATES BADMINTON EQUIPMENT TO GHANA

It was a moment of celebration as key stakeholders gathered for the official handing-over ceremony of sports equipment, a generous donation from the Nippon Badminton Association and the Embassy of Japan.

The initiative aims to strengthen badminton development in Ghana and promote international sports cooperation. The Japanese Ambassador to Ghana, His Excellency, Mr. Hiroshi Yoshimoto said the donation is aimed at fostering sports excellence and grassroots participation.

A representative of the Nippon Badminton Association, Mr. Yuki Sato, said his outfits aim is to inspire young players and build a sense of global community through sports. The President of Ghana Badminton Association, Mr. Evans Yeboah, said the donation much needed.

The Ministry of Sports and Recreation applauded the collaboration. The Deputy Director of Research, Sports, and Information Management, Mr. Horen Quashigah, described it as a step forward in sports development in Ghana.

The event ended with an exhibition match, as officials and representatives took to the court to demonstrate their skills with the newly donated equipment, underscoring their commitment to the sport’s growth in Ghana.
