Joe Mettle is a Ghanaian gospel singer. His real name is Joseph Oscar Mettle. He was born on 5 July. His father is Emmanuel Mettle and mother Florence Addo. Joe Mettle made history when he won artist of the year of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards(VGMA) as a gospel artist. Joe Mettle is an icon in the gospel music industry.
Joe began his education at the Richard Akwei Memorial School. He later moved to Kade 1 and 2 Primary School where he stayed a year before turning to Accra, to the St. Michael’s and All Angels. Joe advanced to Korle Gonno 3 JHS and then later to the Accra Academy. He had his tertiary education at the prestigious Pentecost University College.
His music career started as a backing vocalist for Rev. Tom Bright Davies, Cindy Thompson, and the late Danny Netty. He later joined the indigenous group, Soul Winners. He was a lead singer. Joe Mettle began his own ministries in 2007.
He debuted his first album in 2011 which was My Gratitude. His latest album making headlines in the news is Wind Of Revival released in 2019. In total, he has five albums to his name.
