The El-Wak Sports Stadium hosted the Greater Accra Volleyball Week 4 matches, where the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) went head-to-head against El-Wak United.
In the men’s match, El-Wak United in the orange jersey, lost the first set 22-25. However, United came back stronger in the second set, winning 25-21. United continued their winning streak, securing the third set 26-24.
The Immigration men then regrouped and dominated the fourth set 25-18. Immigration used their experience beat the younger United side, winning 15-12 and clinching the Week 4 victory.
In the women’s event, Immigration women showed their superiority, defeating United women 25-23, 25-13, and 25-11 in straight sets. Both team captains shared their experiences after the match. As a result of this match, El-Wak United now sits at 12th position on the league table.
