The Labone Senior High School holds a special place in the heart of the Ghana Baseball and Softball Federation — it’s home to the only certified baseball and softball pitch in the country, the “Koshien Ghana Baseball and Softball Field” and many of its female students make up the core of Ghana’s softball teams.
It’s been two weeks since fire ripped through the dormitories of Labone Senior High School, leaving hundreds of students displaced and without personal belongings. Today, hope came in the form of a 5,000-cedi cash donation from the Ghana Baseball and Softball Federation.
The donation, presented by Treasurer Lauretta Baddoo, was warmly received by Headmistress Mrs. Rejoice Acorlor, who expressed gratitude on behalf of the school and students.
The Treasurer, Ghana Baseball and Softball Federation, Miss Lauretta Baddoo said they felt it was only right to stand with the students and the school during this difficult time.
The Federation promises more relief in the coming days — a gesture that highlights how sports can build more than just athletes. It builds community, resilience, and hope.
